Pamela Ann Oberg, 69, of Liberty Lake, WA passed away on February 5, 2024 after a 20 month-long battle with metastatic colon cancer.

She was born July 29, 1954, to James and Lavilla Ainey in Port Angeles, WA. She was the sixth of nine children: Michael, Susan, Laurie, Charles, Jimmy, Pamela, Deborah (Sarah), Nancy Sue, and Ronni. At the age of five, God called her to salvation and relationship with Him. Her obedience and faithfulness to God remained evident throughout her childhood. Following graduation from Timberline High School in Lacey, WA her love for Jesus led her to complete her four-year college degree at Prairie Bible Institute in Alberta, Canada.

She was the proud mother of four boys, and she faithfully raised them in the encouragement of God’s word. She had a passion for caring for others and devoted over 20 years of her life working as a bus aide for kindergarteners and children with special needs through the Medical Lake School District. She was love personified. The love of Jesus shone through her, not just to her own children, but to everyone blessed enough to know her.
Her pride and joy was watching her family grow as her sons married and established families of their own. In 2014, she grew her family further when she married Carl Oberg and gained three beloved stepdaughters. Pam and Carl enjoyed antiques and operated a space at Midtown Home & Vintage Market in Coeur D’ Alene, ID. It brought her great satisfaction to give new life to old things.

She was a loving Nana and adored by all her grandchildren. Everyone was naturally drawn to her. She embodied the best qualities; unconditional love, presence, strength of spirit, unending generosity, a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh.
Where there is much love, there is much loss. The void of her passing is felt by all who knew her. Her immediate and extended family, Liberty Lake Community Church family, Midtown Market family, her MIL (Mother-in-laws Interceding Lovingly) family and innumerable friends and loved ones who all cherished the impact she made on their lives through her love, kindness, friendship, mentorship, and spiritual teaching. We are all heartbroken by her absence here on earth, yet we rejoice in the knowledge that she is free of pain and we will see her again.
Pamela is survived by her devoted husband Carl Oberg, her children: Nathan (Heather) Steele, Matthew (Lacey) Steele, Benjamin (Stephanie) Steele, Joseph (Sherri) Steele, Annika (Danial) Marshall, Janell Poole, Martha Oberg and her 20 grandchildren as well as her brother Jimmy Schraven and her sisters, Susan (Orman) Claxton, Laurie (Bryan) Bazard, Nancy Sue (Michael) Platz and Ronni (Bart) Collins.

Her memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday February 17th at Spokane Valley Real Life Church located at 18315 S. Barker Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99016.

Our family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to her memorial fund at the link provided.
