Kyle lost his battle.

Update-
My first response is WOW! I have donated through this organization in the past and I’ve always been hesitant because I’m scared it’s a scam or something. But when it’s someone I know and can trust, I have donated. Some of these donations seem to have come from strangers which is even more amazing. If you are someone who donated a small amount know that your donation is just as much appreciated as the larger ones. Almost more because we know that you did what you could and that alone just shows how great of a heart you have. I can tell you the first reaction from the family was a little apprehensive (I did not ask permission to do this) but as your donations poured in that was quickly replaced by tears of joy and gratitude. Kyle and his family are not the type of people that would ever want or ask for a handout. He was hoping once he started treatments that he’d be able to return to work even if only part time. We are quickly realizing that is an unrealistic expectation. I can only imagine that for Kyle this is a very depressing time for him to feel like he’s on the brink of losing everything. God at work through all of you is absolutely amazing and has been an incredible thing to witness. I will not be shutting down the page because as I said 5k isn’t going to go far over the next several months so please continue to share. I’m certain that your kindness will help him not only financially but mentally and physically as well. They are a frugal family and I can assure you that these donations will not be wasted on frivolous things. It will be used for necessities to get him through this hard time.

Lastly a message from the Stoner family…..

We as a family are totally humbled and grateful for for the love and support that has been shown...we will pay it forward and be there the best that we can for whom may need us.

***Doctors are not sure how long he's going to be here.

Hi, I’m Jen. This is Kyle Stoner. He is my boyfriends brother, my coworker, and a friend. He has been really sick for the past year and had multiple diagnoses until he was finally diagnosed with Hodgkin’s last month. He started chemo last week and today he became unresponsive and his parents barely got him to the hospital in time. He was airlifted to Vidant medical center in Greenville and is currently in ICU. He and his family are very proud and will probably kill me for doing this but I’m at a loss. This whole family is made up of great people and I hate that this is happening but here we are. He has been out of work since April and not expected to return until he’s finished with treatments in 6 months or maybe more. He has no long term disability so he now has no income. He has found some minimal resources for financial help but like everyone he has bills. If you can afford to throw $5 even his way I can tell you he’d be eternally grateful. I don’t know his exact needs but I know that fighting cancer while you’re broke and out of work can’t be easy. I know life is hard for all of us but he needs lots of prayers and he’ll need help with bills. He is one the best employees in our company and will always work 4-5 long days whenever he’s asked. He’s always willing to help other out so if you know him or his family or if the story touches you in any way please consider a donation.
