Help me finish my studies in Glasgow.

Hello, my name is Hanna Kelemen and I am fundraising for my drama university studies in the UK.

I have just began my studies for BA acting at RCS (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) in Glasgow. From over 1800 applicants I am one of the few foreign students that were accepted into the 26 student-class.

Brexit made studies here even more expensive but missing out on this opportunity would be incredibly painful.

In Hungary we have explored all the possible scholarship options to make it easier for me to study. Unfortunately the system doesn’t recognize all the main acting roles at top Hungarian theaters nor does it acknowledge the main roles I have played in films since I was 15 years old. Recently I have also shot my first main role in a Hungarian costume film.

I am asking you to help me go through my first year of college education.

I have recently turned 20, was born in Hungary and have lived all my life amongst the arts.

Grew up with a classical musical backround and have studied to be a pianist for 7 years myself.

After that I briefly went into modelling and then quickly ended up around theater and film as an actress. I have also numerously participated musically in jam sessions and short recordings as a singer in Hungary, often with top jazz artists.

But, after all that experience I have just begun at ground zero, as acting in English is something completely new for me. With that its undoubtedly the most necessary step to be able to grow as an actress, artist and individual. Mastering the arts in the English language could open up the whole world for me!

I have always been eager to try to become an English speaking actress and jazz singer and as I have been accepted to RCS (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) this has truly become reality.

However as I come from Hungary and my parents who are violinists we are struggling to help fund my studies.

I have been able to get a Scholarship from my school that is of a £1000 worth.

This makes up only 5% of what my total year costs.

I haven't received any other Scholarships and I am hoping and working towards a change in that matter.
