My name is Noemi Cuevas, from Los Angeles, California. I am helping my dear friend, Amjad Ibrahim Alamri, raise funds to secure a fresh start in for him and his family. Amjad is a talented chef who previously shared his delicious recipes on Instagram until his account was deleted due to Meta’s unreasonable censoring.
Note: Amjad was able to evacuate safely and is now in Cairo, where he is struggling to rebuild his life. He is hoping to be able to bring his adult family members and 3 minor children along.
The situation in Gaza has left basically all families in worst circumstances than ever. As the costs of leaving Gaza have skyrocketed, it has become increasingly difficult for families to afford the journey. Prices have risen dramatically, making it nearly impossible for many to gather the necessary funds to leave.
The funds raised will not only help Amjad’s family secure their new start but will also provide essential support for food and water during this transitional time. Medical aid, new clothing, etc. Amjad and his family are ready to start anew where they can find safety and security.
