UPDATE 1/15: Nala has officially been diagnosed with FIP and can start treatment today.

My beautiful cat Nala is a 15 months old Maine coon kitten mix. My family adopted her last summer along with her sister. While her sister, Lulu, continues to grow into a happy chonky cat, Nala is in dire need of help now.

We don’t have an official diagnosis yet, but the symptoms point towards something serious — she has stopped eating, just three days ago she’s at least eat a churu yogurt treat. She is losing weight, her kitten-energy is gone, and her eyes tell us something is wrong.

It is possible that she has FIP, but before even beginning to consider FIP treatment, she needs to be taken to an emergency vet for palliative care. Unfortunately no vet will see her without upfront payment. The past year has been difficult financially for my family, but I am hoping for this to be a better year that will allow me to give forward the kindness anyone can show us during this time of need.
