Mandalay Crisis Aid - MYVI

​In response to the devastating earthquake that struck Mandalay, Myanmar, on March 28, 2025, MYVI—the Myanmar Youth Vocational Institute—is launching this fundraiser to provide immediate relief to our affected community members.​

Although our dedicated staff are safe, the disaster has forced us to temporarily shut down 60% of our training programs—including both Mandalay campuses— and forced us to focus 100% of our energy on urgent humanitarian relief.

Our Response

We refuse to stand by while our community suffers. Our team of training staff and skilled chefs is ready to step in and prepare nourishing meals. With your support, we aim to raise $20,000 to secure and deliver vital food supplies into the region. Every dollar will go directly to feeding those in need, with this amount expected to fund up to 150,000 meals.

What is MYVI?

MYVI—the Myanmar Youth Vocational Institute (MYDI in Australia)—is a nationally registered charity dedicated to transforming the lives of disadvantaged youth in Myanmar. Through practical, hands-on vocational training, MYVI equips young people with the skills needed to succeed in hospitality, English, textiles, and other vital sectors. By providing high-quality training and real-world experience, MYVI not only opens doors to employment opportunities but also fosters community resilience and long-term sustainable development. With campuses in key regions such as Mandalay, Bagan, and Pyin Oo Lwin, MYVI is at the forefront of empowering youth and rebuilding a brighter future for Myanmar ​.

Where We're From
