HELP THE TAREQ FAMILY ESCAPE GAZA

Donation protected

Meet the Tareq family! Already refugees, this beautiful family consists of parents Amani and Taher and their four children Dania (23), Malak (21), Tarik (18), and Adam (16). The family was forced to leave their home in Northern Gaza to southern Gaza and have since been displaced as they try to stay together and survive. Amani has reported that pollution is everywhere and disease is increasing constantly.

Amani wants nothing more than to get her children to a safe place with clean food and a future where they can complete their education. All Amani’s children are intelligent and intellectual- studying business, accounting, and computer engineering with her youngest finishing his last year of high school.

At 44 years of age and suffering from multiple medical conditions that are exacerbated by their living conditions, it is vital that the Tareq family can get to safety quickly. The family currently survives in Deir Al-Balah.

From Amani:

“No place is safe here. We hope that this suffering we are in will end. Do you know how much my children and I wished for death at the beginning of the war so that we would not live and see how much everyone has abandoned us and underestimated our children? Do we deserve it? Do our children deserve this?”

“When I see the martyred children, my heart hurts so much I want to scream so loudly and keep crying, but do you know what we have been crying for 8 months to the point that we have nothing left in our eyes? I cannot image that one day something bad will happen to my children.”

Before the aggression, Amani and her family were living happily. They had built their house only a few months prior and everyone was building their future. Dania wanted to continue her studies to obtain a bachelor’s degree. Malak hoped to finish her studies and go into banking as she was studying accounting. Tariq wanted to become a computer engineer and young Adam dreamed of becoming a football player. Amani spent time cooking, knitting, and sewing- she loves working with wool and embroidery.

This family has lost everything from their home to their beloved little cat Biso and their little pet bird who stayed with them for a long time even when they tried to release him to freedom. There are a total of 6 family members hoping to cross together into Egypt. It is currently 5000$ per person to cross the Rafa border into Egypt. Any additional funding will go directly to the family to pay for food, shelter and any other necessities once they reach safety. Please consider, any small amount could make the difference.
