Empower Afghan Women and Girls Through Education

Donation protected
The purpose of this fundraising effort is to provide crucial financial support to Afghan girls and women who have been denied access to in-person education due to the Taliban's policies. By raising funds, GOC aims to ensure that these individuals can continue their education through an online learning platform created and run by dedicated volunteers. This fundraising initiative is intended to bridge the digital divide by covering the costs of internet access, thereby empowering Afghan girls and women with the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty and oppression. Donations will directly impact students, teachers, and teaching assistants, enabling them to access educational opportunities and fostering a sense of global solidarity and empathy.

Who are we?
We are Generation of Change (GOC), a passionate and dedicated group of individuals committed to making a positive impact on the lives of Afghan girls and women. Our organization was born out of a collective desire to empower Afghan females through education, providing them with opportunities that transcend the barriers they face. GOC is a community where volunteers from around the world come together to facilitate online learning, create academic connections, and extend a helping hand to those who need it most. We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and oppression. Through our work we strive to bring hope, empowerment, and empathy to the lives of Afghan girls and women.

A Dire Situation
Amidst the crisis in Afghanistan, the ban on in-person education for girls and women by the Taliban has created dire circumstances. Generation of Change (GOC), a volunteer-driven organization, came together to empower Afghan women through online education.
Your support can break down barriers. Just $34 CAD sponsors monthly internet access for a student enrolled in a single class, while $51.50 CAD covers a student who is taking 2 to 4 classes. Donations also support internet access for in-country teachers and teaching assistants.

What Can You Do?
Even from far away, you can directly assist one or more students. Collectively, your support can break down barriers and empower female Afghan students in their pursuit of educational freedom. Here's how your contributions can make a difference:

Your Support, Their Hope

$34 CAD: Sponsor a student's internet access for one month, opening doors to online educational resources.

$51.50 CAD: Cover a student's internet fees for one month, allowing them to participate in 2 to 4 weekly classes , expanding their knowledge horizons.

More Than Money: Donations not only support students but also aid Afghan teachers and teaching assistants, who want to teach but cannot afford their own internet access.
