The Joy of Building & Commitment to Rebuilding

I am Mama Muhjah Shakir, and we are raising money for Nature’s Garden for Victory & Peace, a nonprofit land-based organization engaged in creating a Holistic Intentional Learning Community. On March 10, 2022, we lost our outdoor stage to an accidental fire when a small portable fire pit with unseen embers was placed on the stage overnight. The stage, as a cornerstone of our work supported our mission as a cultural, artistic and agricultural venue used to bring people together in the spirit of true community. We are asking for assistance from all who can assist us in rebuilding the stage. We want to raise $55k to rebuild the stage, the only one of its kind in our rural community. The amount includes: Labor, Tools, Lumber and other building materials. Also included is the replacement of over 50 chairs, multiple tables, stage-lights, and electrical wiring. We give thanks that the fire didn’t reach the forest and do more damage. We give thanks that no one was hurt. Any donation amount is deeply encouraging and gratefully received.
