Honoring Zack's life and legacy
Donation protected
Hello all, my name is Brooke Keller and I am organizing this fundraiser to honor my beloved brother Zack's legacy. My nephew Izaak, Zack's son, will be entering his senior year of high school this fall. Zack's deepest desire was always to support Izaak in any and all of his pursuits. If you loved Zack in any capacity, please consider supporting his son's future. Your support means the world to all of us, especially Zack. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
Note: I will be collecting the funds in a Money Market Account, which will then be distributed in collaboration with Izaak.
Below is Zack's eulogy written by our brother Caleb:
Zachary Andrew Keller was born on April 28th, 1985 in San Dimas, California to his parents Phillip and Jennifer Keller. He lived in Southern California until the age of eight when he, his parents, younger sister Brooke and younger brother Caleb moved to Medford, Oregon. In high school, Zack found a job as a barista at Dutch Bros where he loyally and cheerfully served the southern Oregon and later northern Oregon populace for twenty years. By the most conservative of estimates, he would have served 1,000,000 drinks. A well-liked and friendly soul to any and everyone who crossed his path, he was well-known and loved in the Salem area, where the stands he worked at tended to be extra successful.
Zack’s life was forever changed for the better on July 19th, 2007 when he became a father to his son, Izaak Timothy Keller. From the time his son was born until the day Zack passed away, his deepest devotion and dedication was to his role as a father, in addition to being a loyal son to his parents and protective presence to his siblings.
Whether you knew him as “Zack” with a c or “Zak,” you most likely remember him for his deep and abiding love for basketball, Settlers of Catan, poker and a plethora of other games, of which he always found a way to be the best at. He was an avid collector of sports cards, hats, shoes, jerseys, movies, shirts, and much more. He always bought an extra for someone he loved, and kept these in the trunk of his car so he could gleefully give them away.
Our precious father, son, and brother decided to leave this world on June 8th, 2024. Zack was a generous, kind, tender, and joyful spirit. No matter the struggles he faced in his own life, his heart was always moved by injustice globally and locally, oppression particularly of vulnerable populations, and he fought to live a life that fiercely rejected the persistent callousness in our world through which people are often hurt. His legacy is love, which serves as a comfort to his grieving family who know that he now rests in the arms of His Heavenly Father in paradise eternally. He will live on forever in the hearts of his son, parents, siblings, friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, customers, coworkers, and those he knew even for just one conversation.
