Running London Marathon for Emmaus Glasgow

I've applied to London Marathon ballot for over 20+ years and never got through - finally I succeeded and got in! I've not ran a half marathon/marathon for 10 years it will probably kill me - but it's always been my dream to run so here I go! I've also not asked people for money/sponsorship directly for over 20 years & Emmaus is a great cause that doesn't get any direct Government funding and every penny goes direct to the amazing hard work they do.

Emmaus offers supported accommodation for homeless people and also provides soup kitchens in the city centre twice a week for rough sleepers (and those in temporary supported/hotel accommodation), provide and hold food bank events for our local area and primary schools. We also support those most vulnerable by giving away free furniture to those most in need. We also support work to those in need in the UK and also Internationally - sending containers of clothing & furniture abroad.

We support the homeless, those rough sleeping, support our local community and those in need internationally.

We don't get Government or local council funding and have to raise our own funds through fundraising and our charity shops and House Clearance services and every penny raised funds what we do and goes directly to the work we provide.
