Staysha is becoming a CPM
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Stephanie Bragg, and I am here to ask our community to help my friend, Staysha Quentrill, finalize her Midwifery. Staysha has worked for 11 years serving families in West Virginia as a doula, childbirth educator, Certified Lactation Counselor and birth assistant. She has been training using the PEP process and plans to turn in her portfolio and sit for the exam as soon as possible.
Staysha is passionate about autonomy and choice for all birthing people. She wants to have a specialty focus on Black Americans because of the statistics showing poor outcomes even for healthy, low-risk birthing people in the medical system. Staysha recognizes that many Black midwives have come before her and plans to carry the legacy forward. As she will be the only Black CPM in West Virginia, Staysha hopes and dreams of training more Black and brown midwives.
The funds we raise will cover the administrative cost of evaluating each phase, pay for the certifying exam and support her in beginning her practice/renting a space. Staysha has completed all the requirements to become a certified Professional Midwife. I am excited to support Staysha and invite you to support her too.
