Supporting SVHS Class of 2025 Senior Trip to the Boardwalk

The Scotts Valley High School Class of 2025 had a drive thru 8th grade promotion ceremony so parents and SVHS teachers/staff are working hard to ensure a special graduation season for these resilient seniors. The banners will go up next month due to parent and community support (thank you!), and the senior farewell rally will take place on May 22. After the rally, the seniors will board buses and head to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for an afternoon of rides, food and fun.

We are asking for your help to ensure every member of the graduating class can attend this event regardless of their ability to pay. We are also fundraising to reduce event costs for all the seniors. The students and families are being asked to contribute $30 or approximately one third the cost for rides, meal, required buses & lifeguard while we fundraise to cover the remaining balance. Our fundraising goal is $2800 as we are holding other fundraisers to meet the full need.

The expenses accrued during senior year can be extremely trying for some families, and we’re hoping to relieve some of that burden with help from community members like you. All donations are greatly appreciated, and no amount is too small. In addition to this GoFundMe, we are partnering with Laughing Monk Brewery (March 20), Woodstock’s Pizza (April 22), Penny Ice Creamery (April 16), Taqueria Los Gallos (March 28) & Jersey Mike’s (May 9) for fundraisers. If we exceed our fundraising goal, the balance will support other senior activities such as the senior breakfast and senior picnic.
