Arbaugh Medical Bills

Hello!

My name is Tori Mahaffey, and I am starting this Gofundme to raise money for my cherished coworker, Shelley Arbaugh. Her husband is having a triple bypass surgery Friday, May 13th.

Shelley Arbaugh has such a big heart and is a community worker. She is a teacher in the De Soto, KS school district and teaches 2nd grade. Shelley is willing to give a helping hand at any moment. You tell her to jump, and she will always respond with how high.

I met Shelley teaching in the fall of 2018 when I started my teaching career. I have created such a strong bond with Shelley that she is my work mom. She is a great teacher, mother, friend, colleague, neighbor, etc. I would do anything to help her out.

Over the past few months, her husband, Jack, has had chest pains. Jack finally went in within the past few weeks to see a doctor. The doctor told Jack that he needed a procedure done to get some stints put in to help open his arteries. She was at the hospital for a little bit, and the doctor came out to tell Shelley that her husband would need open-heart surgery. His arteries were so clogged that they couldn’t do this procedure. Jack has applied for short-term disability to get paid while out of work for a minimum of 4 months. He was denied short-term disability and can’t get approved for long-term disability because he was denied for short-term disability. Shelley and Jack depended on this to pay for his open-heart surgery. Currently, the total medical bill amount is unknown. My goal is to raise at least $10,000 to help. I know that it would be beneficial if we could surpass that goal. Shelley and Jack would appreciate having this money donated to help with medical bills. Every little bit helps.
