Donate for Itamar's Children's Therapy

Hi, my name is Yael Schranz and I am a participant in the OU-JILC program: Summer in Jerusalem. Yesterday, we had the profound experience of visiting the Nova Festival and touring Ofakim, guided by Itamar Alus. Itamar shared his heroic story from October 7th, leaving our group in awe. This brave man saved countless lives without a scratch, with the protection from Hashem. As a police officer, a Jew, an Israeli, and a dedicated community member of Ofakim, Itamar continued to fight against the terrorists that day, despite the immense risk to his life.

Hearing his story firsthand was both humbling and inspiring. We were deeply moved by his resilience and commitment to his community amidst the tragedies that occurred on October 7th. During our time with him, Itamar opened up about his struggles with PTSD and his profound concern for his children's mental health. Therapy remains high demand, even nine months after October 7th. Each therapy session costs $100. With a series of 12 sessions required, that's $1,200 per child. Itamar has three children who desperately need this support.
