Educate the boy-child with Miss Africa GB

Hi, my name is Deborah Mungai, reigning Miss Africa GB 2024–2025, and I am fundraising for a cause deeply rooted in my purpose: empowering young boys through skills development, education, and entrepreneurship training in Kenya. 

In partnership with Mngaro Mtaani, a community charity based in Lucky Summer, Nairobi, we are launching #WeAreNotLeavingAnyoneBehind under the Pia Sisi Tuko Initiative. This project is designed to reach the heart of the slums, where education, opportunity, and hope often seem out of reach. 

The Reality: Today in Kenya, youth unemployment stands at nearly 39%.
In informal settlements like Lucky Summer, 1 in 5 young people (aged 15-24) is neither working nor in school. 


In these same neighborhoods, over 80% of youth lack access to any formal vocational training, leaving them vulnerable to poverty, drugs, crime, and exploitation. 
Many young boys, faced with impossible choices, leave school to help their families survive, trading their futures for temporary survival. But it doesn’t have to be this way. 

The Pia Sisi Tuko Boy Child Project is the bridge between survival and success. Through a 6–8 month program, we aim to empower 50 boys from underserved communities by providing: 

• Vocational skills training in five marketable trades. 
• Life skills and leadership development workshops. 
• Entrepreneurship training to build self-sufficiency. 
• Mentorship, career guidance, and community support 

The Transformation: This is more than just skills training.
It is the difference between a boy joining a gang and a boy opening his own workshop.
It is the difference between addiction and ambition, between isolation and innovation.
It is about restoring dignity, creating opportunities, and giving boys the tools to transform not only their lives but the futures of their families and communities.  

What Your Support Will Do:

✅ Fund mentorship and entrepreneurship workshops.


✅ Break the cycle of poverty and hopelessness for good.
