The Power of Coaching: Help Empower Trans Youth

Howdy! I'm a transgender man living paycheck to paycheck, and I'm reaching out to ask for your help.
When I began my journey of transitioning, I struggled with depression, self-consciousness, and hated my body to the point where I refused to shower for an entire month because I couldn't bear to see myself in the mirror.
For the first five years, I was the elephant in the room around my family. They rejected the idea of me wanting to be a man, and any time it was brought up, it’d end in arguments that left deep wounds.
It wasn't until I broke down in tears in front of my parents at a party and told them that I couldn't keep going like this anymore that they finally started to come around.
First my dad, then my mom.
Today, they’re incredibly supportive and can't believe that I was anything other than the man I am today. And when I came out publicly at a writing conference a year after starting testosterone (4 years ago), I was overwhelmed by the warm reception I received from everyone.
Now, I want to pay it forward and help other transgender youths and young adults find the same support and acceptance that I did. I want to show them that even though the journey is long and painful, it's not all there is, and it's not a reason to give up. Trans people can experience joy and live full, happy lives just like anyone else.
To that end, I've already started working as a mentor for trans youth and am co-authoring a book series with my mom on the topic. I also have a vision of becoming a speaker to promote coaching programs that we're developing together. Ultimately our goal is to give trans youth and parents the tools and resources to confidently navigate their journey, something that we didn't have when I went through mine.
The good news: an incredible program is offering me the chance to get certified in an ICF & intuitive coaching program. This round isn't open to the public, but the founder’s offering me a spot because she believes in my vision.
This is where I need your help. I'm asking for your support in raising the funds I need to become a certified coach. I understand that times are tough for everyone right now, but any amount you can donate would mean the world to me.
I'm determined to become the coach that trans youth need and deserve, and I know that it will benefit the entire trans community. Let's make a difference together. Can you help a trans brother out?
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and any support you can offer is truly appreciated, even if it’s just passing this along to someone else!
TLDR; looking to raise $7,000 to become a coach for trans youth. Please pass this along to anyone who can help!
