Sito’s eye surgery

My baby boy Osito (Sito) was diagnosed with entropion at 6 months old. He is currently 2.5 years old. It is a medical condition in which the eyelids are rolled into the eye and his lashes scratch his cornea. This can eventually lead to ulcers and blindness if left untreated for too long. We have gone to multiple vets for consultations but ultimately have been told this is a procedure done by a specialist. Surgery’s in general for pets are expensive let alone specialty surgery. We have received quotes from numerous specialists that range from $2000-$3000. The recovery time is about 2 weeks. I would take time off work to stay home and watch him. When he was first diagnosed at 6 months, his condition was considered “mild” and vets hoped he would grow out of it as time passed. Unfortunately, now 2 years later, he is fully grown and the condition is now completely “severe.” I hate to post pone this any longer, but financially it is tough to be able to afford. Anyone who has met Sito knows he is the absolute sweetest dog. He is a big cry baby who cries and cries for attention and love 24/7. He is literally my tail and follows me everywhere. His favorite things to do are eat chicken, play with his siblings, cuddle, get belly rubs, and go to the doggy park. He was unfortunately attacked by a dog at the park recently, but thankfully he is fine and there were only minor scratches and bites on him. I want him to have the absolute best quality of life that he deserves and this condition is causing deterioration to his eyes. Anything helps us get closer to Sito’s surgery.
