Matan's Bar Mitzvah Project: Refugee Care Kits

Hi! My name is Matan and for my bar mitzvah service project, I am partnering with Refugee Care Collective (RCC). I will be creating 8-10 Restart Kits for refugee families in need of household and personal care items.

A restart kit is a plastic tub of household items provided for families when they arrive in Oregon. There are different types of restart kits for each part of a home. After talking to a representative from RCC I decided to focus on building personal care kits.

Each kit costs roughly $140-150 to put together. The funds I raise here will go toward purchasing items for 10 kits, such as toothbrushes, deodorant and razors, as well as plastic tubs to hold the items. Any leftover funds will be donated directly to RCC.
