Instruments for Underprivileged Children

I'm Shriya Garg, founder of the Cultural Harmony Initiative. Our student-led organization has a network of members from over 14 states and 2 international countries, all collaborating to promote music education and cultural appreciation. We aim to bring music education directly to underprivileged children in underfunded schools by providing them with much-needed musical instruments. Music has the power to unite communities and enhance student development. Your donation will help us create vibrant music programs, foster creativity, and ensure equal opportunities in these schools.
We will ensure transparency and provide updates on the impact of your contributions on the students at these schools.
Importance: New York City’s 2021 budget slashed funding for public-school arts education by 70%, highlighting the urgent need for support. Save The Music Foundation’s 5-year case study in Newark, New Jersey, showed that increasing music education funding led to academic and personal growth, with 68% of teachers reporting improved academic performance and 94% noting enhanced social-emotional skills and academic engagement among students.
Thank you for supporting this cause!
