Shiloh Outreach Church - Growing, Giving, Glorifying God
Donation protected
Shiloh Outreach Church, formerly Shiloh United Methodist Church, has been worshipping God and serving the community of Wheel since 1873. We have seen our community and church change in many ways. But, throughout it all, God has continued to show Himself mightily.
In Matthew 25:35-40 Jesus tells his followers, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you took care of me; I was in prison and you visited me… And the King will answer them, Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
We at Shiloh Outreach Church strive to put these words into action by extending the love of Christ outside our walls through programs such as
• Food Giveaway, partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank, providing essential groceries for 400-500 families each month!
• Clothe Our Kids – providing clothing for children in need.
• Scholarship – providing for youth entering into college and other higher education programs.
• Salvation Army partner for Bedford & Marshall Counties providing food, clothing, temporary housing, utility assistance, and Angel Tree coordination and distribution.
Just as Jesus told the woman at the well in John 4:13-14, “Jesus said, ‘Everyone who drinks from this water will get thirsty again. But whoever drinks from the water that I will give him will never get thirsty again. In fact, the water I will give him will become a well of water springing up in him for eternal life.’”
We believe that God wants us to serve the physical needs of our community; however, even more importantly, He charges His church to lead others to the water that never runs dry. To fulfill this charge, we must create a space designated for spiritual growth, genuine worship, and create meaningful relationships.
Therefore, we invite you to join in the work God is doing within our community and within our church. We ask you to prayerfully consider supporting efforts to enhance our current worship facilities to expand classrooms and our fellowship hall, as well as build a new sanctuary large enough to seat 250 people each Sunday!
Although the $1 million needed to achieve this goal may seem daunting for a small church, we have seen God move in mighty ways! We believe that if we are faithful and do our part, God will use this for His glory.
