Fundraising cricket match COVID19 crisis in India
Donation protected
The relentless saga of the COVID-19 pandemic continues in India. The harrowing scenes on media in the last few weeks have brought tears to everyone’s eyes. There isn’t a household in India currently that has not been affected with the health system struggling to cope due to an acute shortage of hospital beds, oxygen and medicines.
The UK government and other charitable organisations have been supporting with oxygen concentrators, ventilators and other infrastructure. As staff working in NHS ( Lancashire Teaching hospitals and primary care/general practice), we wish to play our part and contribute to this global humanitarian effort. This cause is particularly close to some of us coming from the subcontinent.
As part of this, we have organised a charitable fund raising cricket match on 23rd May, 2021 at BAC-EE ground, Preston. We will be grateful if you can support and contribute to this cause. All proceeds will be forwarded to registered UK charities. BAPIO (British association of physicians of Indian origin) have endorsed their support.
