Boots Is Walking on Two Bad Legs—Help Us Fix 'Em!
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out for help on behalf of my 5-year-old German Shepherd mix, Boots. Recently, we received some heartbreaking news—Boots has torn both of her ACLs. It’s been incredibly tough to watch her struggle, as she’s a sweet, energetic dog who has always been full of life.
The tears in both ACLs mean that without surgery, Boots will face chronic pain and difficulty walking. The recommended procedure for her condition is a double TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy), a specialized surgery to help restore her mobility and ease her pain. However, the cost of this surgery is substantial—$8,000 per leg—and it’s an expense that we simply cannot cover on our own.
Anyone who knows Boots knows that she is a chaotic but wonderful and well-behaved dog, and she has been an incredibly loyal and loving companion. She brings so much joy to our lives, and I want to do everything I can to help her live a healthy, happy life again. But I need your support to make this happen.
How you can help:
Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward her surgery and recovery.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page with your network would mean the world to us.
We’re hoping to raise enough to cover both surgeries, her post-op care, and any additional treatments she may need as she heals. Boots deserves the chance to walk, run, and play without pain, and with your help, we can make that a reality.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, love, and kindness during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
KJ, Mal, and Boots
