Send Team ASAP to Worlds

Three years ago, Mike and Katie Larson's son Seth dreamed a FIRST Tech Challenge team: a group of kids in grades 7-12 designing, building, and coding robots together to compete in annual challenges with like-minded students all over the world. It was something he'd loved in Ontario; but when his family moved to small-town Raymond, Alberta, the nearest FIRST teams were three hours north, in Calgary. Undaunted, he and his parents launched a movement. In rural Raymond where champions grow, the Larsons planted ASAP, Southern Alberta's first robotics team. Seth and seven teammates improvised a practice field from PVC pipe in the Larson's basement, solicited sponsors, and milked every resource to build both award-winning robots and life-changing opportunities. Just three years later, three FIRST teams in Raymond and one in Magrath offer students the opportunity Seth craved.
On March 16, ASAP accomplished what the whole team dreamed they would: They won the Alberta Championship and FIRST's provincial "Inspire" Award, qualifying them to compete with teams from around the world in FIRST's World Championship in Houston, Texas (April 16-19, 2025). Now the only thing standing between these up-and-coming engineers and their dream is the price tag: $25,000. Your choice to invest in their movement can make their dream come true. Will you donate today, share ASAP's quest, and send these young people to Worlds?
