The Billy Goats Gruff Bristol Bridge Walk

My Dad, who passed away last year, during the first lockdown, suffered from Lymphoma for many years.  A friend is presently undergoing tests for a possible Lymphoma diagnosis, so I thought it was time to raise some money to help and for Dad's chosen charity, Weston Hospice, who looked after my Mum when she was ill with breast cancer.

With that in mind, Simon the Gnome and Polly the Troll have agreed to take me on a 45 km tour of their 45 favourite Bristol Bridges over the Bank Holiday weekend (29/05/2021 – 31/05/2021).

Simon the Gnome was a prolific international traveller until an accident in Port Merion in 2018 meant that he lost the use of his legs. Simon always described himself as 'Borg curious' and underwent an experimental procedure to glue him to a tractor so that he will be able to continue the international journeys that he loves, once travel restrictions are lifted.

Polly the Troll is a great believer in physical fitness. She loves long walks (despite only having short legs), rainbows, and goat curry.  We will be providing an update of our journey with a photo of each bridge and Polly will be giving each one a Billy Goats Gruff (BGG) score based on how cool they are and how much cash she might be able to make extracting tolls from unsuspecting travellers - please give generously!

No goats will be harmed in the making of this travelogue.
