If you doubted that teaching was a difficult profession before this year, spend a few hours supervising a squirmy 8-year-old during our nationwide experiment with virtual learning. That should be more than enough to set you straight!
As the school year winds down, teachers normally would be daydreaming of summer vacations...but as a teacher myself I can tell you that all the energy to plan a vacation has been spent on an exhausting school year. Let's help a teacher out! A vacation is a great way to reduce stress and make people more creative (it’s scientifically proven), and there’s no better way to express gratitude for all that teachers do than to send them on a trip...that requires no planning!
Help SkipTown, a travel agency specializing in surprise travel around the United States, raise $3000 for a lucky teacher! Once funds are raised, SkipTown will launch a teacher nomination campaign in order to choose a well deserving educator. 100% of funds will be used for a teacher + companion to "skip town" for a 3 day/2 night getaway.
