Asalamualaikum brothers and sisters,
We hope you are well and Ramadan Mubarak.
As many of us know and have highly anticipated this month, it is time to put our flaws aside and flourish within all the areas we can attain khayr (good) in. Last year we raised a huge amount of money for a number of recognised charities including Penny Appeal, Human Appeal, Muslim Charity and SPOT Project, with money going towards the production of water well and tubes, and also providing food for the poor. This was all thanks to the support of the community around us. Knowing the huge impact it had last year, we have decided to team up with the Spot-project once again and take part in the ‘2k challenge’ to aid their necessities during and after the month of Ramadan, and to give them a sense of relief that others know and care for them. Not only will the donations go to food supplies, it will also reach their right to delve into education, meaning allowances to new equipment and facilities will be made more apparent for them to experience. We are doing this in the hope that there will come a time where their standard of living is no different to ours bi’thnillah.
So we end on this note, The prophet sws said, “The charity you give, will be your shade on the day of Judgement”
We ask Allah to accept our intentions and continue to shower his blessings upon us and our families during the month of Ramadan.
