Help My Family In Gaza Survive and Find Safety
Donation protected
Hello Dear Friends,
My name is Aahed Abdalilah, and I am 25 years old. I live with my family in Khan Yunis, in the Gaza Strip. I can hardly believe what has happened to us. The war has destroyed everything—we lost our home, the place where we built our lives, and have been displaced more than five times, moving from one place to another in search of safety. Frankly, I no longer care about anything else in this life. All I want is safety for my family, an end to this senseless war, and a way out of this unbearable misery.
Our Story
We are a Palestinian family of six living in Gaza. Our difficult journey began when we were forced to leave our home in Khan Younis and move to Rafah due to the worsening security situation. With only a few clothes and personal belongings, we left behind everything we knew and sought refuge in Rafah. Homeless and displaced, we fled from the dangers in Khan Younis to the uncertainty of Rafah, narrowly escaping death on multiple occasions. but fate willed that we emerge alive—but now we endure life in a tent, facing harsh conditions with no resources to sustain us.
My family is facing unimaginable challenges and hardships. We struggle every day to provide food, clean water and safety for my family, but the situation makes it almost impossible. Despite all these difficulties, I do everything I can to protect my family and provide them with a decent life. But I cannot do it alone. Your support can help me provide for my family’s basic needs.
The last few months were filled with killing, destruction, bombing, fear and displacement. It was like a nightmare that destroyed our hope and memories. Two months after we evacuated our home, we received the hardest and worst news we have ever heard: our beautiful home, which contained all our memories and childhood, was destroyed.
This is our home after it was destroyed and burned:
Now we live in a tent that does not protect us from the heat of summer or the cold of winter. We suffer a lot from polluted water and unhealthy food. We also suffer from biting insects, flies, ants and mice.
This is our current refuge:
Our goals that you can help us achieve:
1. Evacuating my family from Gaza to Egypt and Alma. We are paying the Egyptian Hala Company to coordinate our evacuation once the crossing opens. Coordinating my family of 6 will cost about 30,600 euros and will be as follows:
- The cost of issuing and renewing passports for all family members, we need 600 euros.
- The cost of coordinating my travel to Egypt: 5,000 euros.
- The cost of coordinating my father Hisham's travel to Egypt: 5,000 euros.
- The cost of coordinating my mother Samia's travel to Egypt: 5,000 euros.
- The cost of coordinating my older brother Muhannad's travel to Egypt: 5,000 euros.
- The cost of coordinating my older sister Feda's travel to Egypt: 5,000 euros.
- The cost of coordinating my younger sister Ashar's travel to Egypt: 5,000 euros.
2. To survive in Gaza, my family needs many basic necessities such as food, cleaning supplies, clothes, cooking gas, etc., and due to the very high prices, it will cost approximately 10,000 Euros to ensure our one-year stay in Gaza because food prices are very high.
3. - The cost of living in Egypt including rent, all services, food and drink for at least two years when my family arrives in Egypt will be more than 9,000 Euros.
It has never been easy to ask for help, but we find ourselves with no other choice. I humbly request your assistance in this urgent and critical situation. Any support you can provide to help us secure the basic necessities and escape this challenging life would mean the world to us.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. Your generosity will not only save lives but also restore hope and resilience in the face of unimaginable adversity. Together, we can pave the way for a brighter future for my family—a future filled with peace and stability.
We are deeply grateful for your kindness during these difficult times. Your support will never be forgotten.
With respect and love,
