Help Marc Fight Brain Cancer

Hello friends and family. As many of you know, my father Marc has been going through some health issues this past month. At first diagnosed as lyme disease, he continued to decline and he was hospitalized on August 17th. After a brain CT, they found two tumors within his brain. He was transferred to MGH where they performed a biopsy on the tumor. On August 31st, we got the results of that tumor. He was diagnosed with a glioblastoma, a rare type and very aggressive form of brain cancer. His tumor is inoperable, as the tumor grows like roots of a tree and invades multiple parts of the brain. His prognosis is not great, the doctors with good response to treatment people have gone up to 5 years maximum.  He starts chemo and radiation next week.




This has obviously taken our family by storm. A month ago, like many other cancer patients and their families, we did not expect our lives to be like this. Our family is in a tough spot, with him being sick and out of work a lot of the responsibility is on my mother, Bev. She is currently working as much as she can from home, as well as taking care of him and maintaining house.




His treatments will be long and costly. They will be hard on him, our family, our friends and loved ones. If you can help my family out in any way possible, it would mean more than we can even tell you.
