It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beloved Greg on January 2, 2025. Greg was an extraordinary husband to Laura, a devoted father, and a cherished friend. As Laura would say, her better half. Together, they created a beautiful family that includes their four children—Avery (Matt), Halie (Austin), Matthew (Brianna), and Megan—and six adoring grandchildren: Declan, Juniper, Wayne, Khai, Bodhi, and Luke.

Greg was not only a wonderful son and brother but also an exceptional coworker who touched the lives of everyone he met. He often said he was a rich man, not in material wealth, but in the abundance of love and relationships that surrounded him. His warmth, kindness, and genuine spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Greg truly lived a life well-lived.

His battle with cancer was both brave and brief, and now he is at peace, embraced by the love of God and reunited with those who have gone before him.

As a family, we faced unexpected medical expenses during Greg and Laura’s journey abroad for treatment, which were not covered by insurance. In a heartbreaking turn of events, Greg became acutely ill while away for treatment. Despite our efforts to bring him home by private medivac to say his final goodbyes surrounded by his children, family, and friends, the plane arrived but he did not make it back in time. The costs associated with his medical care and repatriation to Canada have placed a significant financial burden on the family.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, we kindly ask for your support to help alleviate some of these final expenses. Your generosity will provide comfort to Laura and the children during this incredibly difficult time.
