Help Rogeana Be Pain Free
Donation protected
I am raising money towards my surgery so I can be pain-free, have a normal better lifestyle again, and lighter periods, and to not always be in and out the hospital and the emergency room. My surgery was scheduled for
September 10 but will be in November now. But I have to pay at pre-op in August. Please if you plan to help donate by August 10th! Most friends may know me from college and also from working at Chick-fil-A on campus or high school or college or from work or were my managers or coworkers. But I am stuck to my bed in excruciating pain every month during my periods/and when I’m not on my periods and not able to do anything. I get very sick to the point I am admitted into the hospital because I am experiencing things like vomiting , nausea , stomach burning ,extreme back pain, brain fog, no strength to walk, and even not able to breathe. Things I deal with monthly and daily is extreme chronic pain during periods and not on my periods , nausea , vomiting , back pain, extreme bloating , and gas. Hormonal changes , and body aches, dizziness, loss of appetite. Also, the pain radiates sometimes to my feet, hands ,fingers, and toes feels like my body is on fire combined with a tingling sensation . I have been to lots of specialists and obgyns throughout the years of dealing with this serious chronic illness and they told me I have endometriosis. I have been struggling with this since 2017. I had normal periods and was able to function Before all of this I had a normal life was a full time college student and worked multiple jobs full-time, and I got very sick at my university in the dining hall on a random day something I’ve never experienced and had to get admitted into the hospital. This is a very serious condition I’ve been dealing with I try to remain positive and smile through it all.
I am unable to work due to this condition and all I’m asking is help to get this surgery. Dealing with all this is very emotional to me and gives me anxiety thinking about the mistreatment from hospitals , and the pain that I been suffering throughout every month during every period and even when it’s not on anymore is exhausting. A lot of times I just want to give up but I know there is hope. Also, I have random flare ups at any given time, day, or week (that last for days or weeks at a time ) that leaves me stuck in bed and I cannot even get up it’s very traumatizing to me and my life. A lot of times I take pain medicine and it doesn’t work at all. The only choice I have is to go to the ER to get iv medicine to stop the pain.I try to stay positive and keep pushing but it’s very depressing. I have spent semester after semester laying in my bed taking strong narcotics and glued to the heating pad trying to finish assignments! This strongly affects my everyday life mentally, social, physically, psychologically, and emotionally. A lot of times I make plans and I may have to cancel because I have a random flare up. But most of my friends and family understand and they just come see me instead.
What is endometriosis?
Endometriosis (en-doe-me-tree-O-sis) is an often painful disorder in which tissue similar to the tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside your uterus. Endometriosis most commonly involves your ovaries, fallopian tubes and the tissue lining your pelvis. Rarely, endometrial tissue may spread beyond pelvic organs. When someone has Endometriosis they usually have ovarian cysts , fibroids, extremely painful periods ,and the Surrounding tissue can become irritated, eventually developing scar tissue and adhesions — abnormal bands of fibrous tissue that can cause pelvic tissues and organs to stick to each other.
