Guadiana International Music Festival 2024

Fundraiser organised by the volunteers of the 10th Anniversary of the Guadiana International Music Festival, Alcoutim, Portugal.

For the past decade, the Guadiana International Music Festival (GIMF) has been more than just a music festival. It’s been a celebration of diversity, unity, and community.

The festival is our way of giving back to the community that have made so many of us welcome. A thank you for the many free services available and which we use daily. Learning resources, the arts, bombeiros, medical, water and recycling, among many others.

The event is held every year in late October to bring visitors to Alcoutim and the surrounding areas in an attempt to extend the tourist season and support local businesses. This year's festival (18th-20th October 2024) will see over 20 acts and more than 60 musicians performing across 2 stages.

Local musicians, organizers and volunteers give their talent, expertise and time for free. However, we do have expenses, such as music rights, and we do pay a token gesture to our visiting musicians towards costs incurred in attending and performing. As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on the generous support of our community to keep this tradition alive. The funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will go directly toward organizing the event, covering essential costs and keeping this a free festival for all those who attend.
