Hi,
My name is Ginny Mitchell. Mary McCaslin and her husband Greg Arrufat, are like family to me. Mary was diagnosed with a PSP neurological disease about seven years ago. She has been in hospice for a while and is ending her earthly journey soon.
Mary's last wish is to be brought home to Santa Cruz and buried in the earth here.
There will be costs incurred for honoring our sweet Mary and laying her to rest. We will be choosing her final resting place in the next few days, and when she ascends this life, we will fly her home. There will be a funeral and reception. We will keep you all informed of the arrangements as they happen.
The costs look to be about $19,000. This will cover the cemetery plot, transport, casket, headstone and all of the services from beginning to end.
Mary McCaslin is a national treasure who has lived quietly and bravely over the past several years and Greg has been with her, caring for her every step of the way.
