Support Dante's Healing and Family's Future

Hello, our 14-year-old male cat, Dante, was caught early with cancer in his hind leg. Our vet pushed for either immediate amputation or end-of-life care. We couldn't afford it but didn't have the heart to not give him a chance, so we went through with the surgery about a week before our first baby is due.

We are struggling to make ends meet and put this on a high-interest credit card we can't hope to pay off any time soon. A friend told us about this subreddit and that people here may help, so we are giving it a chance. We understand it was our own choice to go through with this, and if you're struggling yourself, you should hold off on donating. But if you're able and want to help, it would help us get through this month.

The vet bills altogether were around $5,000, and we would be happy to provide any proof of this. I'm not really sure how this sort of thing works on Reddit. We don't need that much, but even a little bit would help us get through the month and would make a world of difference. The timing is horrible with our first child coming in the next few days and not having a way to make ends meet this month, so we appreciate any help we can get!
