Hyacinthe Kuller Baron Legacy Fund
Donation protected
Dear friends and family of Hyacinthe Kuller Baron, my name is Chris, I am Hyacinthe Baron's son writing on her behalf. My brother Steve and I wanted to let everyone know that she passed away peacefully at 88 years old. If you know her, you know that she is a renowned artist, friend, feminist, mentor, mother, and grandmother, and one of the toughest women in the world. Thank you for the endless support and love from family, friends, collectors, and everyone.
The Hyacinthe Baron Legacy
In her last days, our conversations were about legacy. Mom talked a lot about putting into a place a dream she had her whole life about her legacy as an artist and ensuring that her life's work would live on in various ways, but she also had a passion for teaching and mentoring. As a young artist herself starting at 15 years old, art saved and sustained life for her and her family through her decades of "doing the work." So a part of her legacy will be to support art by underrepresented, up and coming, and hardworking artists who she believed should have the choice to create art that will give them voice.
While we are developing the specifics, here are some of the projects that will be a part of the Hyacinthe Baron Legacy
Preservation of Hyacinthe's Art Collection
Possible Shows and Showings
The establishment of a Hyacinthe Museum,
A Reissuing of her her workbook, Making Your Mark
Teaching and Mentoring Related Activities
A scholarship fund in her name of up and coming artists
And More..
So we have started this GoFundMe on her behalf to help with the process and development of the Hyacinthe Baron Legacy-which we will continue to update as it develops. We appreciate your trust and support and most of all your love for Hyacinthe, her life and her works.
