Uplift Families in Need: Join Our Mission

My name is Mychelen Skinner and I'm in need of your help! I believe that every child deserves the chance to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. Today, I am excited to share my vision for a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting underprivileged families, especially single mothers, in our community. My mission is simple yet profound: to provide the resources, support, and opportunities that will help these families build a brighter future. Picture single mothers feeling empowered, they have a support system and the tools they need to succeed. I myself have been on both sides of this ongoing issue. Living with my mother in underprivileged areas I observed that the lack of education, finances, and positive role models just to name a few factors, can be a detriment to a child's growth. It took my father coming to get me and show me something different. The old saying if you know better you do better definitely applies. I have also been a single mother working 2 jobs missing precious time with my children I can never get back just to make ends meet. Due to my past experiences I'm passionate about giving back and making a difference. Together, we can make this vision a reality. But we can’t do it alone. We’re reaching out for your help to launch this vital initiative. We are seeking startup funds. I need assistance with the cost of filing the paperwork with the state (Article of Incorporation, 1023, etc), pay for a grant writer, and get the website up and running. These few things are vital to us even getting started. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.
